In Europe if the power went off
Everyone would throw a fit
But here, we merely sigh and shrug
‘The power’s gone off, tough sh*t’.
We are becoming mentally conditioned
To accept our worsening plight
As our punch-drunk minds embrace despair
Each time that they turn off the light!
We’re conditioned to accept all kinds of crap
That we would never have considered before
The Post Office, Parliament the ANC
And we accept that there’s going to be more.
Load shedding they do to weaken resolve
Look at the name and the truth you’ll find
E.S.K.O.M - what does it mean?
Every Shedding Kills Our Mind.
We must build a wall to fight the dark
Protect our minds before they are missed
Each building block is a Gilroy Beer
So let’s get delightfully piss*d!
